Reno and Elly H, the founder of d’Topeng Kingdom Museum, are very passionate about ancient masks. After 25 years of hunting and collecting ancient masks from all over Indonesia, they began to realize that these ancient artefacts must not just be preserved, but also exhibited so that people can see and appreciate them.
Coupled with concern about people days, especially youths, who often turn their head away from artefacts as many of them think that they are uninspiring, Reno and Elly H, in early 2008, decided to found a museum that is designed to give enjoyable and enriching experience for its visitors.
Reno and Elly H officially opened d’Topeng Kingdom together with Merchandise and Antique Shop in 2010. The museum is dedicated to offer many pleasantly surprising sights into life of ancient Indonesia where loads of artefacts from different ethnicities, languages, religions, and beliefs, signify how culturally rich Indonesia has always been.
